About Me
Helping parents teach their kids God’s wisdom for sex, sexuality, and gender.

Background & Bio

I graduated from Union University in 2008 with a degree in English Literature and Secondary Education. After college, I spent six years teaching middle and high school in the public school system, followed by several years at home raising babies while freelancing as an editor for publishers including Lifeway.
In 2019, I joined Equip, where I now serve as Vice President. Equip is the leading coaching and training solution for churches aspiring to be places where LGBT+ people thrive according to God’s wisdom. My primary focus is equipping Christian parents with the clarity, confidence, and courage they need to begin age-appropriate conversations with their kids about God-honoring sex, sexuality, gender.
My work draws on years of experience as an educator, editor, and Christian leader. Through teaching, writing, and training, I help parents and church leaders navigate complex cultural conversations around LGBT+ topics in ways that are grounded in the gospel.
I’m passionate about helping parents talk with their kids about sex, sexuality, and gender in ways that build trust, deepen faith, and point them toward Jesus.
This work matters deeply to me on a personal level. My ex-husband is gay, and I’ve seen firsthand some of the ways the Church struggled to offer the care, language, and discipleship he needed to thrive in his faith. Those experiences continue to shape my commitment to helping families and churches do better.
I’m also raising two young children, and if one of them happens to be LGBT+, I want them to grow up hearing clearly that God loves them and His ways are good, trustworthy, and life-giving.
I live in Nashville, Tennessee, where I keep a ’90s country playlist on repeat. I’m usually reading a biography, historical fiction, or a fantasy novel.
